The Scotts Steering Stabilizer, model SDD-4200-13, is a hydraulic steering dampening unit manufactured by Scotts Performance. Scotts Stabilizers are renowned for minimizing rider fatigue, arm pump, and virtually eliminating head-shake. They are the most durable and reliable stabilizers on the market.
Two different mounting styles are available for most applications: Conventional Mount (above the bars) and SUB Mount (below the bars).
Investing in a Scotts Stabilizer is an excellent performance-enhancing addition to your machine. It not only improves performance and safety but also allows for better, faster riding, reduced fatigue, and longer, harder rides.
If you already own a Scotts Damper, consider rebuilding it using BRP's damper rebuild service.
Please note that mounting stabilizers may have limitations based on triple clamp shape, bar mount location, and frame & tank clearance. In most cases, finding a mounting application for your bike should not be a problem. For SUB Mount applications, you may need to modify the adjuster knob or use the pointer style knob due to clearance issues.
