Experience hassle-free installation of hand guard mounts with this bracket. Traditional placement of the ignition switch may hinder the installation of hand guards or prevent key removal.

By repositioning the ignition switch horizontally, we enable the use of hand guard mounts and wrap-around style hand guards.

Installation Procedure:

1. Remove Headlight Housing from the motorcycle. Disconnecting both turn signals, headlight, and key switch plug connectors will facilitate the process and enable it to be done on a workbench or table.
2. Disconnect the right turn signal cable at the connection plug, if not already done.
3. Remove the 13mm hex head nut that holds the right turn signal. Remove the plastic key switch bracket from the headlight housing. Using pliers or channel locks, remove the knurled nut that holds the key switch onto the plastic bracket.
4. Install the BMI-1211 key relocating bracket with the counter bore and part number facing inward. Align a flat surface on the bracket against the step on the headlight housing. Re-install the washers and nut, tighten the 13mm hex head nut. Install the key switch from the inside. Re-install the knurled nut. Note: the knurled nut can only be installed in one direction due to the shoulder on the nut, so ensure correct installation.
5. Connect all the plug connectors that were disconnected and re-install the headlight housing. Inspect for proper function of turn signals, headlight, and key switch before operating the motorcycle.
