The BRP SUB Mounted Triple Clamp, featuring the SUB Mount "Scotts under Bar," is designed for E and S model DRZ 400/400S motorcycles. This setup is ideal for various riding conditions, particularly motocross and grand prix. Most models come with rubber-mounted bar mounts to reduce vibration.
BRP triple clamps provide adjustable options to cater to different rider ergonomics. The SUB Mounted triple clamp typically offers a 25mm (1″) taller bar position and a greater "RTS" (Relative to Stem) distance than stock clamps, enhancing ergonomics for most riders.
The BRP SUB Mount supports 1 1/8″ handlebars (optional 7/8″ bar adapters available). SUB mounting offers several benefits, including:
- Reduced risk of rider contact with the stabilizer
- Prevention of stabilizer damage in crashes
- Shorter tower for more positive stabilizer action
- Ability to add bar pad for additional rider protection
- 25mm (1″) taller bar position for taller riders (shorter riders can use lower bar bends)
BRP triple clamps are manufactured from high-quality 6061-T6 billet aluminum, offering superior strength and comparable weight to OEM units. Precision-machined fork bores feature a 2-pinch bolt design that increases clamping surface on the forks, preventing fork twist during hard landings or crashes.
This is an easy bolt-on assembly that requires basic hand tools and can be performed by a novice mechanic.

Depending on the model, additional hardware such as headlight & odo brackets or mounts may be required (additional charge). Some applications are available with solid-mounted bar mounts only, and fork pinch bolts may come from the front. We offer additional bar positions "RTS" for most models; see RTS Chart.
