The BRP SUB Mounted Triple Clamp, featuring the SUB Mount "Scotts under Bar," is a versatile solution for Husaberg riders. This setup allows you to mount your Scotts Stabilizer below the handlebars, enhancing performance in various riding conditions, especially motocross and grand prix. The clamp is suitable for motorcycles with rubber-mounted bar mounts, which help reduce vibration.
BRP triple clamps cater to diverse rider ergonomics. The SUB Mounted triple clamp typically provides a 25mm (1″) taller bar position and a greater "RTS" (Relative to Stem) distance compared to stock clamps. This setup contributes to improved ergonomics for most riders.
The BRP SUB Mount is engineered to accommodate 1 1/8″ handlebars (optional 7/8″ bar adapters are available). This style of stabilizer mounting offers several advantages, including:
- Reduced risk of rider contact with the stabilizer
- Prevention of stabilizer damage in case of a crash
- Shorter tower for more effective stabilizer action
- Ability to install bar pads for added rider protection
- Adjustable 25mm (1″) taller bar position for taller riders (shorter riders can use lower bar bends)
BRP triple clamps are meticulously crafted from robust 6061-T6 billet aluminum, offering superior strength and comparable weight to OEM units. The precision-machined fork bores incorporate a 2-pinch bolt design, expanding the clamping surface on the forks and reducing fork twist during hard landings or crashes.
This straightforward assembly can be completed using basic hand tools and is suitable for novice mechanics. However, depending on the model, additional hardware such as headlight & odo brackets or mounts may be required (an additional charge may apply). Some applications are available with solid-mounted bar mounts only, and the fork pinch bolts may come from the front.
