The BRP SUB Mount is a triple clamp accessory designed for running a Scotts steering stabilizer under the handlebars. This mount offers two handlebar positions: 17mm or 27mm in front of the steering stem. The stock bar position is 14mm in front of the stem. The handlebar height is raised by 22.5mm. BRP triple clamps provide various options to cater to different rider ergonomics.
The BRP SUB Mounted triple clamp offers a 25mm (1″) taller bar position and a greater “RTS” (Relative to Stem) distance than a stock triple clamp. This design improvement helps enhance ergonomics for most riders. The mount is suitable for 1 1/8″ handlebars, and optional 7/8″ bar adapters are available.
Key benefits of the BRP SUB Mount include:
- Reduced risk of rider contact with the stabilizer
- Prevents damage to the stabilizer in case of a crash
- Shorter tower for more positive stabilizer action
- Ability to run bar pads for added rider protection
- 25mm (1″) taller bar position for taller riders
BRP triple clamps are manufactured from high-quality 6061-T6 billet aluminum, offering superior strength and comparable weight to OEM units. The precision-machined fork bores feature a 2-pinch bolt design that increases clamping surface on the forks, preventing fork twist during hard landings or crashes. The clamps are finished in black anodize for a factory look.
This is an easy bolt-on assembly that requires basic hand tools and can be installed by a novice mechanic.
Special Notes: When using a Scotts stabilizer in the SUB Mount configuration, the arm must be reversed mounted. A lower bend bar can often emulate the stock bar height. Due to the SUB Mount's increased height, triple clamp-style enduro handguard mounts may not work with many bar bends. We recommend using BRP BMI-9254 Hand Guard Mounts instead.
