The BRP SUB Mounted Triple Clamp 00-07 XR 650R is designed for riders seeking a concealed stabilizer setup for enhanced safety.
To install this triple clamp configuration, a forward SUB mount tower, +34mm stabilizer link arm, spacer, and extended throttle cables are required. XR 650R models necessitate extended throttle cables, while XR 250/400 models can use stock cables but require re-routing.
The BRP SUB "Scotts Under Bar" Mount is a popular choice for off-road, dual sport, and taller riders. This setup is compatible with 1 1/8″ ProTaper handlebars and mounts a Scotts stabilizer below the handlebar, replacing the bar mount assembly on your BRP or Scotts triple clamp.
The SUB Mount setup provides several advantages over a conventional "above bar" stabilizer setup:
- Stabilizer is concealed under bars
- Reduced risk of injury by avoiding contact with stabilizer
- 1″ taller bar position
- Enables running a bar pad for additional protection

Special Notes: When running a Scotts stabilizer in the SUB Mount configuration, use the 34mm extended link arm and forward mount style tower. A lower bend bar can often mimic the stock bar height. Due to the SUB Mount's increased height, triple clamp style enduro handguard mounts may not work with many bar bends. BRP recommends using BRP BMI-9254 Hand Guard Mounts instead.
