The BRP SUB Mount Kit is designed for KX 450F motorcycles from 2012 to 2018. This mount offers two adjustable positions for your handlebar, 12mm and 22mm in front of the steering stem. The handlebar perch can be easily rotated 180 degrees to achieve these positions.
The stock triple clamp on this motorcycle may not provide the most comfortable position for the average rider, with positions being too far back or too far forward. The SUB Mount Kit addresses this issue, offering a more suitable handlebar position.
The SUB Mount is compatible with 1 1/8" ProTaper handlebars and allows for the installation of a Scotts stabilizer below the handlebar, replacing the bar mount assembly on your OEM, BRP, or Scotts triple clamp.
The SUB Mount setup offers several advantages over a conventional "above bar" stabilizer setup. These include reduced risk of injury from contact with the stabilizer, approximately 1" taller bar position on most models, and the ability to run a bar pad for additional protection.
Please note that when using a Scotts stabilizer in the SUB Mount configuration, the arm will need to be reversed mounted. Additionally, due to the SUB Mount's increased height, triple clamp style enduro handguard mounts may not work with many bar bends. We recommend using U-clamp or Bonz mounts instead.
