The Scotts Performance DM-SUB KIT 10-13 YZ 250F OEM TC is a SUB Mount designed for riders using Scotts steering stabilizers. This mount offers two adjustable positions: 16mm and 26mm in front of the steering stem. The 16mm position is the stock position for YZF 250 and 450 models. The 26mm position is 10mm forward from the stock position.
The SUB Mount system is a popular choice for GPs, motocross, off-road racing, and riders with taller statures. It is compatible with 1 1/8" ProTaper handlebars and replaces the bar mount assembly on OEM, BRP, or Scotts triple clamps. The SUB Mount setup provides several advantages over traditional "above bar" stabilizer setups:
- Reduced risk of injury from contact with the stabilizer
- Approximately 1 inch taller bar position on most models
- Enables the use of a bar pad for additional protection
Please note that when using a Scotts stabilizer in the SUB Mount configuration, the arm must be reversed mounted. In some cases, a lower bend bar can help maintain the stock bar height due to the SUB Mount's increased height.
