The BRP SUB Mount Assembly is designed for Yamaha YZ 250F and 450F motorcycles from the model years 09-13. This mount offers two adjustable bar positions: 10mm and 20mm in front of the steering stem. The 10mm position corresponds to the stock position #2, while the 20mm position is position #3 on these models. Note that position 1 and 4 are not available with this kit.
The BRP SUB Mount is a popular choice for GPs, motocross, off-road racing, and riders with taller stature. It is designed to accommodate 1 1/8" ProTaper handlebars and mount a Scotts stabilizer below the handlebar, replacing the bar mount assembly on OEM, BRP, or Scotts triple clamps. This setup provides several benefits:
- Reduced risk of injury from contact with the stabilizer
- Approximately 1 inch taller bar position on most models
- Enables the use of an additional bar pad for added protection
Please note that when using a Scotts stabilizer in the SUB Mount configuration, the arm must be reversed mounted. A lower bend bar can often mimic the stock bar height. Due to the SUB Mount's increased height, triple clamp-style enduro handguard mounts may not work with many bar bends. In such cases, we recommend using U-clamp or BRP handguard mounts.
