The BRP Adjustable SUB Mount DM-SUB KIT is designed for riders using Scotts Steering Stabilizers. This mount allows you to run your handlebars in two positions: 12mm or 22mm in front of the steering stem. The handlebar height is raised by 22.5mm when using this kit. For those who prefer the stock handlebar height, we recommend using Pro-Taper Steering Damper Low Bars.
The BRP SUB Mount, produced by Scotts Performance, is a popular choice for GPs, motocross, off-road, and dual-sport riders, as well as those of taller stature. It is designed to fit OEM, BRP, or Scotts triple clamps and is compatible with 1 1/8" ProTaper handlebars. This mount setup offers several benefits over conventional "above bar" stabilizer setups:
- Reduced risk of injury from contact with the stabilizer
- Approximately 1 inch taller bar position on most models
- Enables the use of an additional bar pad for added protection
Please note that when using a Scotts stabilizer in the SUB Mount configuration, the arm must be reversed mounted. A lower bend bar can often mimic the stock bar height. Triple clamp style enduro handguard mounts may not work with many bar bends, so we recommend using BRP BMI-9254 Hand Guard Mounts.
