The BRP Adjustable SUB Mount DM-SUB Kit is designed for riders using a Scotts Steering Stabilizer. This mount allows you to run the bars in two positions: 17mm or 27mm in front of the steering stem. The handlebar height is raised by 25mm. For those who prefer the stock handlebar height, it's recommended to use Pro-Taper Steering Damper Low handlebars.
BRP SUB Mounts are exclusively designed for OEM, BRP, or Scotts triple clamps. In some cases, they may fit other aftermarket triple clamps. If you have a triple clamp other than OEM, BRP, or Scotts, please contact us for an application.
The SUB Mount setup offers several benefits over a conventional "above bar" stabilizer setup. These benefits include:
- Reduced risk of injury by coming into contact with the stabilizer
- Approximately 1 inch taller bar position on most models
- Enables you to run a bar pad for an additional level of protection
When running a Scotts stabilizer in the SUB Mount configuration, the arm will need to be reversed mounted. A lower bend bar can often emulate the stock bar height. Due to the SUB Mount's increased height, triple clamp style enduro handguard mounts will not work with many bar bends. It's recommended to use BRP BMI-9254 Hand Guard Mounts instead.
Please note that when using a Scotts stabilizer in the SUB Mount configuration, the arm must be reversed mounted. A lower bend bar can often mimic the stock bar height. Triple clamp style enduro handguard mounts will not work with many bar bends in the SUB Mount setup. It's recommended to use BRP BMI-9254 Hand Guard Mounts instead.
