The DM-SUB Kit by Scotts Performance is designed for riders using a Scotts stabilizer and looking to upgrade to the SUB Mount system. This kit includes an adjustable SUB Mount and a bolt-on tower. With this setup, handlebars can be positioned 17mm or 27mm in front of the steering stem, raising the handlebar height by 25mm. For those preferring the stock handlebar height, a Pro-Taper RM Low handlebar is recommended.
The BRP SUB Mount, also known as the "Scotts Under Bar" Mount, is a popular choice for GPs, motocross, off-road riders, and those of taller stature. It is designed to accommodate 1 1/8" ProTaper handlebars and mount a Scotts stabilizer below the handlebar, replacing the bar mount assembly on OEM, BRP, or Scotts triple clamps.
Key benefits of the SUB Mount setup include:
- Reduced risk of injury from contact with the stabilizer
- Approximately 1 inch taller bar position on most models
- Ability to use a bar pad for an additional level of protection
Please note that when using a Scotts stabilizer in the SUB Mount configuration, the arm must be reversed mounted. A lower bend bar can often mimic the stock bar height. Due to the SUB Mount's increased height, triple clamp-style enduro handguard mounts may not work with many bar bends. Instead, U-clamp or Bonz mounts are recommended.
BRP is an authorized Scotts Stabilizer Dealer and Service Center, offering a complete line of stabilizer mounting applications and replacement parts. For triple clamps other than OEM, BRP, or Scotts, please contact us to determine compatibility.
