The BRP Adjustable SUB Mount DM-SUB Kit is designed for riders using a Scotts steering stabilizer and looking to upgrade to the SUB Mount system. This kit includes the SUB Mount and bolt-on tower, allowing for two handlebar positions: 17mm or 27mm in front of the steering stem. The handlebar height is raised by 25mm, and for those wishing to maintain the stock height, it's recommended to use Pro-Taper Steering Damper Low handlebars.
The BRP SUB Mount, also known as the "Scotts Under Bar" Mount, is a popular choice among GP racers, motocross riders, off-road enthusiasts, and taller individuals. It is designed to accommodate 1 1/8" ProTaper-style handlebars and mount a Scotts stabilizer below the handlebar, replacing the bar mount assembly on OEM, BRP, or Scotts triple clamps.
Key benefits of the SUB Mount setup include:
- Reduced risk of injury by avoiding contact with the stabilizer
- Approximately 1 inch taller bar position on most models
- Enables the use of an additional bar pad for increased protection
Please note that when using a Scotts stabilizer in the SUB Mount configuration, the arm must be reversed mounted. A lower bend bar can often mimic the stock bar height. Due to the SUB Mount's increased height, triple clamp-style enduro handguard mounts may not work with many bar bends. It is recommended to use BRP BMI-9254 Hand Guard Mounts instead.
